The Brave of Heart Scholarship was established to provide support to families of frontline healthcare workers, volunteers, and support staff whose lives were lost in the fight against COVID-19. Applicants must be a child, spouse or domestic partner of a frontline healthcare worker who lost their life to a COVID-19-related cause. The child must be living in the frontline healthcare worker's household or primarily supported by the frontline healthcare worker. If the child is enrolled in a graduate school program, they must be age 26 and under and may be financially dependent or independent to be eligible. To continue receiving scholarship assistance beyond age 26, children must then continue to apply for the Brave of Heart Scholarship (uninterrupted) and maintain continuous enrollment in their program (uninterrupted), with the exception of summer vacation. Frontline healthcare worker is defined as a person who lived in the United States at the time of death and worked or volunteered in or for a licensed hospital, medical center or clinic, nursing home, medical transport vehicle, triage center, or other licensed medical facility, provider, or setting, or who worked or volunteered as an emergency medical technician, ambulance technician or paramedic. The individual must have had the possibility of exposure to patients with COVID-19 while working or volunteering. Applicants must plan to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate program (graduate program must have a patient-facing medical major). The CentraState Associated Auxiliaries Scholarship Program will offer three scholarships each year to students and adults who live and volunteer in the CentraState service area. Two will be awarded to graduating high school seniors pursuing a career in the healthcare field. The third scholarship will be awarded to an adult returning to college to pursue a career in the healthcare field. High school seniors must submit high school transcripts; two original letters of recommendation, one being from their volunteer coordinator; and the essay. Adult applicants must submit their college transcripts, if available; their acceptance letter from their college or letter from their college confirming attendance in a healthcare course of study; two original letters of recommendation, one being from their volunteer coordinator; and the essay. The EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases has established the #RAREis Scholarship Fund to help students with rare diseases in a variety of educational pursuits, regardless of treatment status. Applicants must have been diagnosed by a physician as having any form of rare disease regardless of treatment status. Each year there are 20 to 50 million tons of e-waste discarded in the world. E-waste contains toxic materials, including heavy metals, that can easily seep into the ground and ultimately get into groundwater supplies. According to the EPA, recycling e-waste allows more than 100 million pounds of materials to be reused annually. The purpose of this scholarship is to help you understand the impact of e-waste and what can be done to reduce e-waste. Applicants must be a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior or a current or entering college or graduate school student of any level. Home schooled students are also eligible. The Women's Empowerment Scholarship will be awarded to re-entering or continuing students who want to learn a marketable skill that will lead to economic self-sufficiency. The applicant must identify as a woman and be 25 years of age or older. Two letters of recommendation are required. One must be academic, and the second may be academic or professional. The Virginia E. Nollmeyer Nutrition and Dietetics Scholarship is open to undergraduate students pursuing a degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics Option, and graduate students pursuing a degree in Montana Dietetic Internship or Dietetic Systems Leadership. Applicants must display outstanding involvement in the community and school and an outstanding work ethic. First preference is given to students pursuing a career in clinical dietetics, gerontology, or human medical nutrition research. Second preference is given to students who demonstrate financial needs. Third preference is given to non-traditional-age students.

The Dick Streissguth Memorial Cadet Scholarship was established by People's Community Federal Credit Union in memory of Richard "Dick" Streissguth, who passed away in 2015. Dick served Clark County Fire District 6 for 61-years, moving from volunteer firefighter all the way to Fire Chief. Applicants must have completed, or will have completed prior to the receipt of the scholarship, any Fire Cadet program in Clark, Cowlitz, or Skamania County. They must continue their education at an accredited college, university, technical or career school during the upcoming school year. Graduating high school seniors and current college students are eligible to apply. Applicants may upload one letter of recommendation from a person who can speak to their character, leadership, talents, and academic record. Letters from immediate or extended family members will not be accepted. This letter is not required, but is strongly recommended. The Roy F. Mather Scholarship is available to students who are pursuing a degree in engineering. Previous recipients of this scholarship may apply for additional awards each year they remain eligible. Renewal applicants will have special consideration or priority. Jack and Carol Kelly established the Jack and Carol Kelly Scholarship in 2012 to provide scholarships for local students who plan to return and support their community after they complete their education.
