CDM Smith has established a scholarship program to assist students pursuing an eligible STEM undergraduate and graduate programs focusing on engineering at an accredited four-year college or university. The CDM Smith Soar Scholarship will award two scholarships, financial need will not be considered. Applicants must be a high school senior or high school graduate who is enrolled to start or a currently enrolled student in an eligible STEM undergraduate or graduate program in eligible majors. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. Scholarship finalists are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, and an essay. The VASWCD Educational Foundation Inc. Scholarship Program aims to promote the education of students in technical fields with natural resource conservation and environmental protection. Applicants must be enrolled in or have applied to a college freshman level curriculum. Applicants shall document a class ranking in the top 20 percent of their graduating class or a 3.0 or greater GPA or appropriate equivalent of individual scholastic achievement. Applicants shall demonstrate active interest in conservation. High school seniors who have applied to college may apply. Only one applicant per district may be submitted. Applications should be made from the county the student resides or attends school. Eligible applicants must reside or attend school within a local Soil and Water Conservation District. Students must confirm the application deadline with their local SWCD Office. However, the district's selected applicant with all supporting documentation must be received at the VASWCD Office by April 18, 2025. Recommendation letters from at least 3 references, other than family members, who can provide additional information about the applicant's academic and community activities must be submitted. The IBTTA Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist current undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in transportation-related fields. Applicants must be current undergraduate college students who have completed at least two full semesters of undergraduate coursework at the time of application (24 credit minimum), or graduate students, and who are pursuing a degree in one of the following fields: Civil Engineering, City and Regional Planning, Construction Management, Public Policy or Public Administration, Structural Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Operations Management, and other transportation-related degrees. International students may apply. At least one award will be allocated to a recipient attending an HBCU, depending upon qualified applicants. Two recommendations must be submitted. The Asian Americans in Public Finance (AAPF) is proud to sponsor the Matt Fong Asian Americans in Public Finance Scholarship for college students in California and New York interested in a career serving the public sector. Applicants must be undergraduate students at a four-year college or university in Fall of 2026. They must be majoring in Social Science, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields. Preference will be given to those with interest in public sector work or those with community service and community advocacy. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation.
